"Purchase" TV series based on the novel "The Take" (2005) by Martina Cole. The series is a three-hour film consisting of four episodes of 42 minutes each, which are simply combined as one.

I only paid attention to him because of Tom Hardy, who I've really liked as an actor for a long time. Well, plus, the whole thing was filmed by the British, which made it possible to take a little break from Hollywood.

I must say right away that the series is very cruel: violence, drugs, alcohol, sex, etc. There are practically no positive characters here. But at the same time - the movie is very realistic and believable.

The film was shot quite simply, there is no such entertainment here as, say, in the "Underground Empire". But no cheapness is visible even close: the picture catches from the very beginning and does not let go until the final.

Tom Hardy played just brilliantly. It was necessary to portray such a vile and disgusting scumbag. His character in the film is read very quickly, and we understand that Freddie is just the last creature and scum.

It can be seen that criminal life, prison, left an imprint on Freddie's psyche. He already seems slightly abnormal (just look at how he smokes a cigarette), plus under the influence of alcohol and drugs, Freddie can do just wild things. By the way, Tom Hardy actually had a serious drug and alcohol addiction once, but he somehow managed to get off.

In the series, Freddie leads him accordingly: he constantly gets drunk, sniffs coke, cheats on his wife, beats her, makes scandals, bringing the latter to hysterics and tears. But this is far from the worst that this guy is capable of - believe me.

Jimmy, Freddie's brother, is not so easy. At first it seems that Jimmy is a nice and kind guy. Moreover, he is smart and knows how to think strategically - unlike Freddie, who is exposed exclusively to emotions alone.

Sean Evans, who played Jimmy, generally liked it. But somehow without fanaticism I relate to his role. Over the years, Jimmy has changed a lot - "grew up" and became ruthless, but in my opinion, he did not pull on a cool authority in any way.

Charlotte Riley, who played Maggie, is the strongest woman of all the characters. She did not break down, did not go down a crooked path, although her fate also had a lot of trials. By the way, Charlotte Riley is Tom Hardy's wife in real life. After the "Purchase" they played together in "Wuthering Heights", after which they started dating, and then got married.

In general, the "Purchase" is a strong movie. An excellent, well-directed drama, with a strong script and good casting. Tom Hardy is beyond praise. Just for the sake of this role, the film is already worth watching, but there are also many other advantages in this tape, which have already been mentioned. The only thing I have to emphasize once again: the picture is very cruel and naturalistic. Therefore, not everyone will be able to watch it. Ofisin veya aynanın resmi web sitesine gidin.
