Today I want to talk to you about my latest scrap-hobby - dry glitter. Its main difference from liquid glitter is that it turns out a thicker pleasant shine, the main thing is not to overdo it with such shiny elements in your work, and you will get an amazing decorative element! I want to tell you about how I use it.

When I bought a glitter in glitter store for the first time at a sale, I didn't know why I did it and what to do with it :) Then there were several unsuccessful attempts to use it, and in the end I came to the scheme that I still use. I use Martha Stewart's glitter glue for gluing. The jar is quite large, there is a brush on the inside of the lid, the glue itself is like a very, very thick PVA.

So, we will prepare everything for work in advance, so that later we do not waste time looking for the right one. I will cover such deer fellings with glitter.

I will take two sheets of paper - on one I will smear with glue, on the other I will transfer and sprinkle with glitter. When I use glitter and powder for embossing, I pre-fold the sheet in half, on which I will pour, so that later it will be convenient to return the excess back to the jar. We will also prepare, of course, the glue and the glitter itself. And awl. It is convenient to use an awl to shift the figure coated with glue, as well as remove excess glue that will fall into the small bends of the cutting or chipboard.

Next, let's get to work. We carefully coat the figure with glue, I prefer to do all the operations in turn in this case, so that the glue does not have time to dry, otherwise areas may appear where the glitter does not stick. Then we transfer the figurine to the prepared dry leaf and sprinkle with plenty of glitter.

I recommend not pouring out the excess immediately, but immediately dry it so that the maximum amount of sparkles sticks and the shine is uniform. I harvest all the deer and put this sheet on the central heating radiator. You can dry it in the air, but the battery will significantly reduce the drying time, 15 minutes will be enough.

When everything is dry, we shake off the excess, you can even knock lightly on the back of the figure. I used to stop at this stage, but there was one moment that saddened me very much - if you touch the glitter, it remains on my hands and still crumbles a little. After a little experimentation, I developed a small additional step for myself. It roughly doubles the glittering time of the felling, but it is well worth it.

We will prepare the necessary tools. I have allocated an unnecessary small plastic container for this. Pour some water and dissolve in it the same glue with which we glued. Glue from one brush is sufficient. Stir thoroughly and coat our blanks. And again we dry on the battery.

As a result, we will have wonderful shiny clearings! So smart and sophisticated in some way. And most importantly - now these glitters will not stay on your hands and drive everyone at home crazy! :)
