RAPID CITY, S.D. - The Rapid City Marshals kicked off their third season on Saturday by hosting the Iowa Rampage.

The Rampage jumped out to a 26 point lead in the first half and held onto to beat the Marshals, 58 - 28.

Rapid City had some costly mistakes in the first half.

Trailing 12-0 early in the second quarter, Brian Vilanueva hooked up with Mason Lee for the 24 yard touchdown.

But it was called back because of a penalty.

The Marshals finally scored with 3:18 left in the first half, as Jack Sheehan found Breon Michel in the back of the endzone for a three-yard touchdown.

Rapid City will hit the road to take on the Washington Wolfpack on Sunday, May 5.
